Successfully teaching Graphic Design since 2001…

Communications Design without modern digital technology is no longer possible in today’s business environment. With this statement we mean not only particular design or illustration software, but also the modern multimedia equipment and software, which are used in leading design studios.

In addition to all the hardware and software which a present day Communications Designer should master, the BTK Academy of Design also places particular value on the traditional craft skills. With all its many possibilities the computer is the essential tool of a Graphic Designer, though it remains a tool with a potential that can only be fully exploited when a Graphic Designer has completed a classical design training.

Together with technical skills and artistic creativity, the professional practice of Communications Design requires a designer to have broad interlectual perspective, technical knowledge and the ability to combine these assets to create exciting new design solutions.
