1st Semester
The foundations are laid during the 1st Semester for the later advanced stages of the course. Classical art and design school lessons such as abstract and life study painting, still life and figurative drawing all provide students with an intuitive understanding of colour and formal visual composition.
In addition to these lessons, students begin to work with Adobe Indesign - the industry-standard design software for Desktop Publishing. As students learn to use this layout software with confidence, lessons giving a practical introduction to Typography provide a context and a deeper understanding of Communikations Design.
